ART
Accelerated Resolution Therapy
ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) is a drug-free, non-hypnosis, very brief therapy that treats both adults and children who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, substance abuse, sexual abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder, addictions, and other mental health problems.

ART is unique in that it combines the enormous power of eye movements to help clients replace their distressing images, (along with the negative sensations their brain has stored), with positive images that clients voluntarily choose themselves. The positive images are accompanied with more pleasant emotions and sensations which help eliminate symptoms of depression, anxiety, sadness, and more. Your brain files the memories back in storage the way you directed it. This is called memory re-consolidation.
Clients don’t need to talk to the therapist about any details of the trauma. This is because ART is procedural, though creative, and the client is really in control of the process, while the ART therapist is a helpful guide. This makes the therapy easier on the client and easier on the therapist.

Using Rapid Eye Movements and guided visualization helps your brain reprocess distressing memories and replace them with clarity, calm and resolution. Most clients feel noticeable relief in 1-5 sessions.
