When looking for a therapist it’s important that you find someone who is well trained and experienced in working with the issues you bring into therapy. You also want to feel comfortable and connected with your therapist. We work together with you to determine your personal goals for counseling and design a strategy to help you reach those goals.

Peg Roberts, LMFT, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Founder & President

I have been in private practice for over 25 years and worked with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families improving self-esteem, building confidence, teaching strategies for satisfying lives and living with authenticity. Treating depression, anxiety, helping those people who have loved ones with addictions, and other challenging relationship issues is my expertise.

I am trained in EMDR which is a treatment option for trauma, depression, anxiety and faulty beliefs. Also, I’ve written a comprehensive workbook called Reclaiming Your Lost Soul: A Soul Seekers Life Guide for Healing Codependency. With many years of my own recovery from codependency, I have a lot of experience helping those who struggle, too. When we work together couples learn to resolve issues, improve emotional and sexual intimacy by learning how to effectively communicate and resolve conflict.

I love what I do and am grateful to be able to help others. I can’t imagine doing anything else! My life has been blessed with a marriage of 47 years, three adult kids and eight beautiful grandchildren.

Spirit of Hope is a teaching center offering opportunities for new interns entering the field of therapy. We also welcome all faiths and work as Christian counselors with many churches in the area.

Kim pufahl, intern

Life is a beautiful journey, but there are times when the roads we take can leave us feeling stuck, lost, alone, challenged, unsure, and at times, hopeless. Therapy can serve as a roadmap to make some sense of these bumpy roads or major ditches. I can help you steer back onto the wonderful journey you were meant to be on, acknowledge where you have been, understand the place you are now, and envision what can be in the future.

My passion is helping individuals and couples live authentically and be real! I provide honesty, caring support, and a safe space so together we can work towards your genuine self for you and all your relationships.

Kim has immediate openings with a variety of hours
meeting face-to-face or tele-health

I am working towards a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of St. Catherine’s, and 20+ years of working with families and children as a successful family photographer (you can imagine how hard that can be). My true passion is helping others in relationships and finding their true self.

If you need help for individual counseling (teens to adults) around depression, anxiety, unhealthy family dynamics, abuse, trauma or codependency, as well as other mental health concerns, I’m ready to help.  Because I’m trained to work with couples and families, I offer support and guidance for parents with helpful parenting ideas. As a couple’s therapist, I love to teach skills for healthy and effective communication along with conflict resolution.

I am married to my high school sweetheart of 25 years, a mom to 2 grown sons and a teenage daughter, I have lived through some of life’s challenges. We all have them!  Understanding the transitional stages of relationships, marriage, raising children, and family change are so important, but focusing on oneself to be true and real is even greater. I can help you do that!
