When looking for a therapist it’s important that you find someone who is well trained and experienced in working with the issues you bring into therapy. You also want to feel comfortable and connected with your therapist. We work together with you to determine your personal goals for counseling and design a strategy to help you reach those goals.

Peg Roberts, LMFT, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Founder & President

Peg has been in private practice for over 25 years. She has worked with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families, improving self-esteem, building confidence and teaching strategies for a more satisfying life. She’s highly skilled in treating depression, anxiety, helping those people who have loved ones with addictions, and other relationship issues. She’s trained in EMDR which is a treatment option for trauma, depression, anxiety and faulty beliefs. She’s written a comprehensive workbook called Reclaiming Your Lost Soul: A Soul Seekers Life Guide for Healing Codependency. With many years of her own recovery from codependency, she’s an expert in the treatment for those who struggle too.  She offers helpful, life-changing tools to couples so they can resolve issues, improve emotional and sexual intimacy by learning to effectively communicate and improve conflict.

She also supervises new interns entering the field of therapy. She welcomes all faiths, and is a Christian counselor working with many churches in the area. She has been married for 47 years, has three adult children and eight grandchildren. She loves her work and can’t imagine doing anything else.

Individual Focus

Life is a beautiful journey, but there are times when the roads we take can leave us feeling less than wonderful. We may feel stuck, lost, alone, challenged, unsure, and at times, hopeless. Therapy can serve as a roadmap to make some sense of these bumpy roads or what may feel like major ditches and learn how to steer back onto the wonderful journey we were meant to be on.

I want to help you on your journey acknowledge where you have been, understand the place you are now, and envision what can be in the future and finding you authentic self along the way.

I offer honesty and caring support, providing a safe and true space for you to share life’s bumps and build trust so that together we can work towards brighter paths on your journey.

Relational Focus

Relationships can be challenging and have all kinds of issues in families young and old, marriages new and in longevity, teenagers and parents or teenagers and peers. My passion is helping explore these relationships and how they affect our behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. You may feel stuck, unhappy, hurt, lost, or confused in your relationships or want more guidance on certain issues in your relationships.  We will explore together to understand and learn to love more of our own self along the way.
